Laguna Beach resident Nancy Lawrence was honored by the American

Red Cross with the Clara Barton Spectrum Award for Outstanding Women

in Orange County in Education. She was recognized on Nov. 25 during

the 10th annual Clara Barton Spectrum Awards. For the past 29 years,

Lawrence has been an educator and volunteer at the Laguna College of

Art and Design and is involved in Color it Orange, a culturally

diverse community arts education program that works with K-12

students ... Laguna resident Mary Jones has been named one of “10

Teachers Making a Difference” by Orange County Family Magazine. Jones

is a Tustin High School resource specialist teacher and will be

featured in the January issue’s fifth annual salute to educators who

change lives.
