Pirates drop 89-77 verdict in semifinal

Orange Coast College’s men’s basketball team finds itself in the 5

p.m. third-place game today at the Pirates’ Coast Classic following

an 89-77 loss to the Bay Area club team.

Lanier Brown (17), Nykolas Peppers (15) and Bryan Williams (11)

were in double figures for Coast, but the Pirates dug themselves a

47-33 deficit by halftime and were unable to recoup.
