Sage Hill quintet honored

NEWPORT COAST -- Senior Paige Fullmer as well as freshmen Kellie

Ammerman and Katie McKitterick, who led Sage Hill High to the CIF

Southern Section girls tennis playoffs this fall, have been named

first-team All-Academy League by the circuit’s coaches.

In addition, Sage Hill, coached by A.G. Longoria, is represented

on the second team by junior Jessica Tsoong and freshman Stephanie

Chen.

These five standouts helped the Lightning finish second in league.

The Lightning then went on to record CIF Division V playoff wins

over Estancia, 14-4, and Azusa, 15-3, before dropping a 10-8

quarterfinal verdict to eventual runner-up Santa Maria.
