The Newport-Mesa Unified School District offers menu choices each
day at elementary schools. Students may choose a vegetarian entree if
desired. The selection varies and may be either a salad, sandwich or
hot entree. School lunches are $2 each. Here’s what’s being served
this week:
TODAY
Munchable Lunch Salad with yogurt or toasted cheese sandwich baby
carrots with ranch dip, apricots, choice of milk
WEDNESDAY
Munchable Lunch Salad or bean and cheese burrito, jicama sticks
with ranch dip, choice of 100% fruit juice, choice of milk
THURSDAY
Vegetarian health sandwich or chicken patty sandwich on a bun,
crisp green salad with ranch, raisins, choice of milk
FRIDAY
Munchable Lunch Salad or turkey and gravy with mashed potatoes,
fresh baked whole grain roll, choice of fruit, choice of milk
MONDAY
Munchable Lunch Salad or stuffed crust pepperoni or cheese pizza,
crisp green salad with ranch, craisins, choice of milk
* The Munchable Lunch Salad contains tossed greens, cherry
tomatoes, crackers, protein sources such as cheese, sunflower seeds,
fruit yogurt and honey-roasted peanuts, and dressing.
