Sinclair Sea View Player of Year

Newport Harbor High senior Ross Sinclair, who helped lead the

Sailors to their second straight unbeaten Sea View League season and

a berth in the CIF Southern Section Division I quarterfinals, has

been named Sea View Player of the Year by the circuit’s coaches.

Sinclair, who shared Sea View Player of the Year honors last

season, when he was also named second-team All-CIF Division I, is

joined on the first team by repeat first-team teammates Michael Bury

and Nathan Weiner.

Weiner, a senior driver, was a first-team All-CIF choice as a

junior. Bury, a junior, was a third-team All-CIF pick in 2001.

Newport Harbor seniors Brent Armstrong and Jay Thompson are

second-team all-league performers for the second straight season.

The Sailors finished 19-10.
