Pirates rumble by Cuyamaca, 76-60

Orange Coast College’s men’s basketball team got a jump on

visiting Cuyamaca in the first half and was never seriously

threatened en route to a 76-60 nonconference victory Wednesday night

in the winner’s gym.

Aaron Bobik led the way with 23 points and Stephon Seales and

Jason Garey added 14 and 12 points, respectively, as the Pirates

improved to 4-6.

Bobik hit 9 of 13 from the field and had four assists, while Garey

nailed four of eight three-point attempts. Seales made 6 of 10 from

the field as the Pirates clicked for 50.9% from the field.

Cuyamaca’s only edge came at the line where the El Cajon-based

Coyotes netted 22 of 29 attempts.

Coast was 7 for 9 at the line.

Orange Coast returns to nonconference play at El Camino Dec. 18.
