Services for longtime Newport Beach resident and poet Joan Krieger

will be held at noon today in the Pacific View Memorial Park chapel.

Very active in the UC Irvine community, Mrs. Krieger was honored by

the UCI Friends of the Library for her 1994 book of essays, “Touching

Places.” Mrs. Krieger died Saturday. She was 75. She is survived by

son Eliot Krieger; daughter Catherine; and two grandsons.
