Mustangs fall to La Salle, 63-45
The Costa Mesa High boys basketball team came back to within four
points in the second half after being down by 18 at intermission, but
it wasn’t enough to beat La Salle.
The 5-0 Lancers downed the 2-1 Mustangs, 63-45, in pool play at
the Valley Christian Tournament Wednesday.
Mesa cut the lead to 36-32 early in the third quarter but La Salle
stretched the lead and secured the win.
Junior Marko Stankevic led the Mustangs with 12 points and Danny
Krikorian chipped in 11 points, hitting two three-pointers.
Costa Mesa plays Bolsa Grande at 3:30 p.m. Friday.
