TODAY

The Huntington Beach Historical Society will present Holiday on

the Hill at the Newland House Museum. The house will be decorated for

Christmas and feature an antique clothing display from the Dwight and

Faye Clapp collection. The event will run through Dec. 22. The museum

is open from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday; noon to 4 p.m.

The Huntington Beach Art Center is hosting an exhibition titled

“They Stood In Line For Hours.” The collection will feature artists

selected from the annual “Centered on the Center” open-call

Saturday; from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday; and from noon to 4 p.m.

The Longboard Cafe will

hold the annual Hayride. Santa will be on the hayride and

participants are asked to bring an unwrapped gift to benefit the

The Huntington Harbour Philharmonic Committee will present the

cruise of lights to benefit local school programs. The cruise will

take passengers through the waterways of Huntington Harbour to see

the holiday lighted homes and holiday decorations. Weekday cruises

will leave at 6, 7 and 8 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday cruises at 5:30,

6:30 and 7:30 p.m. Advanced reservations are recommended.

Huntington Central Park

Equestrian Center is celebrating Day of the Horse with festivities

including a parade of breeds, a chili cook off, riding demonstrations

Concert Band will present its 29th annual Holiday Concert at 2:30

percussion ensemble in a variety of favorite holiday carols and

musical evening featuring the 80-voice Parish Choir, Children’s
