for friends and family. You can honor them with a donation made

through The Women of Vision Bells of Christmas Program. Your donation

will help needy families in Orange County, Kenya, Peru and Palestine.

A GIFT DISCOVERY

The American Cancer Society Discovery Shop in Corona del Mar is

giving a $10 gift certificate with purchases of more than $50.

Recently acquired items include an English butler’s desk (circa

1870), a 5-foot redwood carved eagle, a suede chair and ottoman and

designer clothes.

PICTURES WITH PETS

Santa is taking pictures with pets Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. at

Bloomingdale’s. Each picture is framed in a gift card. A $10 donation

is requested and proceeds go to the Friends of San Clemente Animals,

a nonprofit organization that supports the San Clemente-Dana Point

Animal Shelter.

FASHION ISLAND TIPS

Fashion Island offers year-round valet parking for $4. The two

valet stations are between Robinsons-May and Apple Computer and also

between Thaifoon and Daily Grill. Annual valet parking passes are

available at the Concierge Desk for $100.For easier parking access,

use the San Miguel (off MacArthur Boulevard) or Santa Barbara (off

Jamboree Road) entrances into Fashion Island. One of the best parking

spots is the top level of the parking structure next to

Bloomingdale’s; it has bridge access to the center.

On weekends, park in the surrounding office building lots and walk

to Fashion Island or catch the complimentary shuttle to the center.

Some shopping center surveys have shown that Fashion Island has the

most convenient parking of Orange County shopping centers.
