2Listen to carols. “A Christmas Overture,” a concert celebrating

the Christmas season, will be performed at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. as part

of the Bonita Canyon Concert Series. The show, which will include a

hand bell choir and a 16-piece symphonic ensemble, will be held at

dance cruise at 7:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday to preview the Ring of

Lights around Newport Harbor. The cruises, which occur in the days

4Say ‘Bah, humbug.’ South Coast Repertory’s production of “A

Christmas Carol” will continue through Dec. 24. The Charles Dickens
