Coast triumphs

Orange Coast College had four players score in double figures and

blitzed host San Diego Mesa, 73-49, in nonconference women’s

basketball Friday night.

Sophomore forward Liz Mendoza led the way for the Pirates (9-3)

with 21 points while Lauren Murray added 17. Alisa Carrillo and

Lindsey Galasso both tallied 11 points for the victors.

San Diego Mesa (3-7) had two players score in double figures but

it was not enough to stop Coast, who jumped out to a 12-2 lead about

three minutes into the game.
