Orange Coast catches fire

Down 60-52 with 4:23 left to play, Orange Coast College pulled out

the rally and defeated host El Camino, 78-68, in nonconference men’s

basketball action Wednesday night.

The Pirates (8-3) shot 16 of 24 on free throws down the stretch

and fired at a 43% clip from the field in the second half to gain the

advantage.

Sophomore guard Stephon Seales led all scorers with 23 points

including three three-pointers while also collecting eight rebounds

for Coast. Brian Bobik added seven boards and scored 17 points to

pace the Pirates, who outrebounded El Camino (4-7), 46-37.

Coast returns to action Friday at the Cuyamaca Tournament against

Fresno City College.
