Stevens resigns UCI hoops post

Len Stevens has resigned for personal reasons as an assistant

men’s basketball coach at UC Irvine. He was in his sixth season as a

member of the Anteaters’ staff.

Stevens came to UCI in the summer of 1997 after coaching at

Washington State, St. Martin’s College, the University of Nevada and

with the Neuchatel Basketball Club in Switzerland.

“Len has played a vital role in the development and success of our

program,” UCI head coach Pat Douglass said. “However, he felt the

time had come to move on and we wish him the best in his future

endeavors.”
