The Newport-Mesa Unified School District offers menu choices each

day at elementary schools. Students may choose a vegetarian entree if

desired. The selection varies and may be either a salad, sandwich or

hot entree. School lunches are $2 each. Here’s what’s being served

this week:

TODAY

Munchable Lunch Salad with yogurt or corn dog or veggie corn dog,

potato smiles, craisins, choice of milk

WEDNESDAY

Oriental chicken salad with fresh baked whole grain roll or

hamburger or veggie burger with lettuce and pickles, sliced peaches,

choice of milk

THURSDAY

Munchable Lunch Salad or pasta with marinara sauce and meatballs,

fresh baked whole grain roll, crisp green salad with ranch dressing,

choice of fruit and milk

FRIDAY

Munchable Lunch Salad or chicken nuggets with dipping sauce,

jicama sticks with ranch dip, blue raspberry 100% fruit juice bar,

choice of milk

MONDAY

Munchable Lunch Salad or bean and cheese burrito, peas, raisins,

choice of milk

* The Munchable Lunch Salad contains tossed greens, cherry

tomatoes, crackers, protein sources such as cheese, sunflower seeds,

fruit yogurt and honey-roasted peanuts, and dressing.
