Mustangs Master the Lions
The Master’s College, ranked No. 10 in the NAIA, spoiled Vanguard
University’s unbeaten Golden State Athletic Conference record in
women’s basketball Tuesday night, recording a 66-57 victory at
Vanguard.
The Mustangs broke away from a 47-47 tie in the second half and
led by as many as 12 before settling for the final count to improve
to 10-3, 3-2 in the GSAC.
Vanguard (10-7, 5-1) was led by senior Laura Lee with 11 poinots.
No one else was in double figures.
Robbin Ditttenbir was Vanguard’s board leader with seven rebounds.
Leslie Dubois of The Master’s led all players with 23 points.
Vanguard finished with 20 of 59 from the field (36.7%) and made
but 8 of 31 from three-point range.
