host a business solutions workshop at the Wyndham Garden Hotel in

Mary and Darwin Boblet will present a slide lecture about their

three-year sailing adventure with their two young sons at 7 p.m. at

library’s armchair travelers series. The Boblet family left from San

Francisco Bay and traveled to Mexico, Hawaii, Samoa, Fiji and New

Mother-Daughter Book Club meeting of 2003 at 7 p.m. at the library.

The book club is for girls in fifth through seventh grades and their

The Newport Harbor Nautical Museum will host a special battle

reenactment from 4 to 7 p.m. in Newport Harbor. Refreshments will be

SATURDAY

The Newport Bay Naturalists & Friends will host a guided walking

tour of the Upper Newport Bay Ecological Reserve with groups leaving

every 15 minutes between 9 and 10:15 a.m. People joining the tours

are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes, a hat (if it’s sunny) and

to bring a bird book and binoculars to help observe the abundant

wildlife. The tours will begin at the corner of East Bluff Drive and

Auditions for the School of American Ballet’s 2003 Summer Course

will be held at the DeFore Dance Center in Costa Mesa. Auditions are

open to intermediate and advanced students only and will be held from

1 to 2:30 p.m. for 13-year-olds, from 2:30 to 4 p.m. for 15-year-olds

and from 4 to 5 p.m. for 16- to 18-year-olds. Students must register
