Emy Parks was appointed president of Pacific Premier Investment

Services in late November. The company has offices in Huntington

Beach, San Bernardino and Seal Beach. The company, which offers a

wide range of investment options to meet the financial goals of

consumers, believes that Parks will be an asset, with her more than

18 years of financial experience. The company is also a savings and

loan holding company that owns 100% of the capital stock of the

Pacific Premier Bank and Pacific Premier Investment Services ...

Erika Kristen Elizabeth Brauch of Huntington Beach received her

doctorate from Loyola Law School last June and was admitted to the

California bar in November. Brauch also accepted a position as an

associate attorney with the firm of Waters & Kraus in Long Beach ...

Jason Gialenes, a 2002 graduate of Huntington Beach High School,

graduated from U.S. Navy Boot Camp in November. Gialenes, son of Jay

and Suzann Gialenes of Huntington Beach, was chosen, along with five

other sailors, to serve on the USS Constitution in Boston Harbor for

the next two years ... Air Force 2nd Lt. Eric J. Jouret, the son of

Robert S. and Georgia Jouret of Huntington Beach, graduated from

specialized undergraduate pilot training at Columbus Air Force Base,

Miss. The student pilots started the 52-week program by attending a

three-week preflight phase consisting of academics and physiology

training for flight preparation. The student pilots were then given

primary training conducted in T-37 Tweet aircraft to learn flight

characteristics, emergency procedures, takeoff and landing

procedures, aerobatics, formation flying and much more. Jouret is

also a 2001 graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado

Springs, Colo.
