UC Irvine’s women’s basketball team took it on the chin Saturday

night as host Idaho claimed a 74-68 Big West Conference decision

behind Taylor Benson’s 19 points, including 4 for 5 from three-point

land.

The Anteaters received standout performances from Christina

Calloway, who had 20 points and 11 rebounds, and Kristen Green, who

scored 18 points, one point off her career best. Also, Lisa Faulkner

stepped up with 11 assists.

Faulkner and Wendy Gabbe were both in double figures with 10

points apiece.

The loss dropped the Anteaters to 9-6, 2-2 in the Big West.

Idaho improves to 5-11, 3-3.
