Schroeder sparkles
Corona del Mar High junior Anne Schroeder was awarded the overall
championship of the Pacific Coast Horse Shows Association’s working
hunter A division (ages 14-17) at the recent awards dinner in San
Francisco.
Schroeder and her horse, Rafiki, accumulated points at 2002
equestrian shows in Indio, Del Mar, Huntington Beach and San Juan
Capistrano.
She began riding in 1997 and began competing six months later. She
and Rafiki began their winning ways by claiming several championships
at the Orange County Horse Shows Association.
Schroeder also competes for CdM in the Interscholastic Equestrian
League. She trains at Windsong Farm.
This is the second straight year a rider from Windsong Farm has
won the Pacific Coast association’s working hunter A division 14-17
title. The 2001 champion was Whitney Roy, also a student at CdM.
