David Sumi, son of Ken and Eunice Sumi of Huntington Beach, was

selected to participate in the Executive Fellowship program,

administered by the Center for California Studies at California State

University, Sacramento. Sumi was one of 64 student recipients out of

1,100 applicants. The program offers college graduates experiences in

policy-making and development with California state government. Sumi

will hold a full-time paid position as a policy assistant for

officials while earning 12 units of graduate credit. Sumi is a 1998

graduate of Marina High School and earned a bachelor’s from USC ...

Danielle Zuckerman of Huntington Beach earned academic honors for the

fall term at The Loomis Chaffee School in Windsor, Conn., where she

is a senior. To qualify, she had to earn a grade point average of 3.0
