Bybee caps meet with 9-8 victory

SANTA ANA - Newport Harbor Harbor High’s 215-pound senior Brad

Bybee rallied from a point down with less than 30 seconds to go with

a takedown to claim a 9-8 victory over Foothill High’s Eric Levine

Thursday night to highlight a solid effort from the Sailors.

Foothill won the match, 45-27, but the Sailors, 4-6, 1-4, were

sharp as they prepared for league finals on Saturday at Irvine High.

Victor George pinned Josh Forster in 16 seconds at 103 pounds,

Tony Pinon was a 13-9 winner over Cristin Gutierrez at 152, and

Brandon Marshall posted a 4-2 win over Jose Alvis at 171 pounds.
