Donald W. Means

A graveside service for Donald W. Means, a 50-year resident of

Newport Beach and former city employee, is scheduled for Wednesday at

10 a.m. at the Good Shepherd Cemetery in Huntington Beach.

Mr. Means died on Friday of natural causes. He was 87. Mr. Means

was a former purchasing agent for the city of Newport Beach.

He is survived by his daughter Patty Bauman, sons Dennis Means and

Steve Means and one grandchild.

Melba Beebe Earl

A funeral service is scheduled for Melba Beebe Earl, a 30-year

Newport Beach resident, at the Corona del Mar Ward at 4601 Bonita

Canyon Road on Saturday at 10 a.m.

Mrs. Earl died on Feb. 5 of natural causes. She was 97.

Mrs. Earl is survived by daughters Melinda Chesney and Barbara

Graham, eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two

great-great-grandchildren.

After the funeral, interment will be at Pacific View Memorial Park

in Corona del Mar.
