Vanguard U. pair lauded

Marcus Harris. a junior right-handed pitcher is receiving the Lion of

the Week recognition for the second time in his Vanguad baseball

career. Harris, a three-year starting pitcher for the Lions, returned

to the Vanguard baseball team this season as the staff ace after

accumulating a 15-8 record and two shutouts over the past two

seasons.

In women’s sports, sophomore Lacey Mills, a native of Oregon City,

Ore., earned Lion of the Week honors for the first time in her VU

athletic career after helping charge the Lions to two important GSAC

wins this week. Mills is a 5-foot-6 guard.

Mills averaged 14 points and four rebounds per game this week as

the Lions defeated California Baptist and Biola University, both on

the road.
