Sarah Hall, Vanguard’s final competitor at the NAIA Track and Field

Indoor Nationals, gained national recognition Saturday when she

garnered NAIA All-American honors for her performance in the 3,000

meter event.

Hall entered the event seeded eighth according to her prior

qualifying marks, but pulled off a minor upset by finishing in fifth

place with a time of 10:25.80, just 15 seconds off the pace of the

two-time champion, Chrisie Gregory from Fresno Pacific. Hall was one

of three Golden State Athletic Conference runners to finish in the

top six of the 3,000 and earn NAIA All-American honors. Hall is a

senior from Costa Mesa.

She attended Estancia High School and Orange Coast College prior

to attending Vanguard.

Hall will continue the spring season in hopes of qualifying for

the NAIA Outdoor Nationals in May.
