SEXIEST KILT COMPETITION

Muldoon’s Dublin pub in Newport Beach will hold its first “Sexiest

Kilt Competition” at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 16. A panel of female

judges, including actress, model and former Miss Ireland Olivia

Tracey, will determine the competition. Chris Pierce, drummer for the

Orange County rock band the Fenians, renowned for his zebra patterned

kilt, will host. Muldoon’s is at 202 Newport Center Drive.

AND TCHAIKOVSKY

Orange Coast College’s Symphony Orchestra will offer the third

concert of its 42nd season at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, featuring works by

Prokofiev, Mozart and Tchaikovsky at the Robert B. Moore Theatre.

OF TOMORROW

The Philharmonic Society of Orange County will present “Stars of

Tomorrow” at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Barclay Theatre in Irvine,

showcasing nine performers from Orange County from 9 to 18 years old.

BEETHOVEN AND DEBUSSY

The Philharmonic Society presents the Trio Fontenay performing the

music of Beethoven and Debussy on at 8 p.m. Monday at the Irvine

MARK O’CONNER

Grammy Award-winning fiddler Mark O’Conner will make his jazz club

Saturday, March 15. His performances will spotlight his new CD, “In

Full Swing,” a tribute to his mentor, late French jazz violinist
