Pride rolls

With victories of 1-0, 4-0 and 2-0 coupled with a 0-0 tie, Costa

Mesa’s Region 12-0 girls under-12 APP “Pride” soccer team took second

in the blue flight at the 17th annual Meyer’s Cup Tournament in

Orange.

Pride succombed to Long Beach United in the 0-0 tie, losing on

penalty kicks, 5-4.

Katie Finn, Jennifer Thomas and Kellie Edles sparkled in goal

during the tournament with help on defense from Brooke Urmson,

Kristina Roche, Kristen Gilligan and Natalie Plascencia. The midfield

was controlled by Sarah Braunsdorf, Ayla Medina, Marina Lazos and

Kayla McComb.

Jennifer Thomas, Ally Krikorian, Nushin Tasbihchi, Ellie Edles

and Kerry Kiser all played well.
