Erin Gruwell, two-time California Teacher of the Year, is the

featured speaker for the Jewish Federation of Orange County’s Women’s

PARISH LENTEN MISSION

St. Joachim Church will have its Parish Lenten Mission at 9:15

LENTEN PROGRAM 2003

The Episcopal Church of St. Michael will have a program at 5:30

PURIM CELEBRATION

Temple Isaiah of Newport will celebrate the festival of Purim with

celebration will represent the ancient story from the book of Esther.

THOMAS JEFFERSON IMPERSONATION

Temple Isaiah of Newport invites the community to an evening of

fun, education, getting together and enjoying noted impressionist

Peter Small, who will entertain the audience as Thomas Jefferson. The

JEWS DOWN UNDER

During Shabbat services at 8 p.m. Friday, Rabbi Arnold Rachlis

will speak on “Jews Down Under: Travels in Australia and New

Zealand,” reporting on the recent congregational visit to Sydney,

Melbourne and the Great Barrier Reef in Australia and Christchurch,

Queenstown, the fiords of Milford Sound and Auckland in New Zealand.

NOTED JEWISH SCHOLAR

Prof. Shalom Paul, noted scholar and Biblical expert, is coming

from Jerusalem to serve as Orange County’s second annual one-month

Jewish Scholar in Residence under the auspices of the Orange County

Jewish Community Scholar Program at the Jewish Federation Campus in

BAHAI FIRESIDES

Members of the Bahai faith hold informal public discussions on
