Three Sailors first team

* GIRLS WATER POLO: Newport Harbor High senior Jenna Murphy, a

repeat first-team selection, tops five Sailors named All-Sea View

League by the circuit’s girls water polo coaches.

Murphy is joined on the first team by senior teammates Annie Wight

and Paige Lansing, both of whom were second-team picks in 2002.

Murphy, a first-team All-CIF Southern Section honoree in ‘02, and

Wight, a second-team All-CIF choice as a junior, were also

second-team all-league performers as sophomores.

Lansing was third-team All-CIF as a junior.

Representing the Sailors on the second team are senior Raelyn

Ritchie and junior Jessica Ball. Ball was also a second-team All-Sea

View selection last year.

These five standouts helped the Sailors advance to the CIF

Division I semifinals, posting a 24-6 record.

Seniors Brittany Hayes, Gabbie Domanic and Emily Feher, who led

Foothill to league and CIF Division I titles in an unbeaten season,

all shared Player of the Year honors.
