Estancia High junior Rebecca Kaplan scored on sophomore Hilary

Ockey’s sacrifice fly ball in the eighth inning to lift the Eagles’

softball team to a 3-2 nonleague win over host Corona del Mar

Tuesday.

Estancia pitcher Evelyn Flores, who improved to 2-1, went 2 for 3

at the plate to help her own cause. She retired the side in order in

the bottom of the eighth.

The Eagles (4-1) scored two unearned runs in the first. The Sea

Kings (2-4) were without senior Alissa Zoelle, who was on a

recruiting trip.
