A’s duo one-hits Dodgers

Sean Guite and Hayden Toney combined pitching efforts to limit the

Dodgers to one hit and lead the A’s to a 10-3 victory in Ocean View

Little League Majors Division action.

The previously undefeated Dodgers had taken a 3-2 lead, but Shaun

Dolan’s two-run triple ignited the A’s comeback.

David Swartz, Ryan Christie and Guite each had key hits for the

A’s.

Minor A Division

Giants 4, Pirates 3

Consecutive hits by Mitchell Grant, Kevin Stoops, Lars Jensen and

Austin Barlow in the final inning brought the Giants back from a 3-2

deficit as they won the battle for first place.

Scot Bailey led the Giants’ offense with two hits and three RBI,

and Stoops and Jensen shared pitching duties.

Giants 15, Marlins 7

Charles Johnson went three for three with a pair of doubles and

five RBIs to power the Giants.

Scot Bailey went 2 for 2 with three RBIs and Trevor Geery finished

with two hits.

Austin Barlow pitched four innings, recording 10 strikeouts while

allowing just two hits. Jake Rubino came on in relief and sealed the

win.

Minor B Division

Rangers 10, Tigers 5

Jonathon Lancaster and Scott Zech combined to strike out 14 Tigers

and Connor Diegelman, David Elias and Pedro Gonzalez each had two

hits to power the Rangers.

SEAVIEW LITTLE LEAGUE

Majors Division

Dodgers 2, Giants 1

For the third consecutive game, the Dodgers pulled out a win in

extra innings.

Kurt Heyer struck out 11 of the 15 batters he faced in four

innings pitched for the Dodgers. He was relieved by Josh Lesinki who

struck out three in two innings, and Brandon Visnoski threw the

seventh and eighth innings, striking out seven to give the Dodgers 21

strikeouts overall.

The Giants’ pitching duo of Kevin Doran and Marcus Trujillo were

just as impressive with Doran recording eight strikeouts in four

innings and Trujillo fanning three over the final four innings.

The two combined to one-hit the Dodgers.

Offensively for the Dodgers, Dylan Ybarra stole five bases and

scored both runs and Visnoski had the lone hit.

Minor A Division

Mets 9, Rockies 7

Gregg Battenfield, Layne Chandler and Brenton Visnoski each hit

doubles for the Mets who also got key hits from Spencer Galindo,

James Butts and Kyle Martin.

Jordan Sobelman and Clay Crandall each scored twice for the Mets.

Ryan Ortolf delivered two triples and scored twice to pace the

Rockies.
