A Sage Hill laugher, 20-2

Zack Friedrichs went 4 for 4 with two double and triple and had four

RBIs, and threw a one-hitter over four innings, yet is secondary in

the story of Sage Hill School’s 20-2 mercy killing in five innings of

Academy League foe Whitney Tuesday.

The first 15 batters for the Lightning not only got aboard with

none out, but all 15 scored in an 18-run first inning.

The only other hit for the Lightning that went for extra bases,

aside from Friedrich’s blows, was a two-run homer by Jordan Salinger.

Sage Hill improves to 4-4-1, 3-3 in league. Whitney falls to 1-10,

0-6.
