Red Sox, Blue Jays sparkle

The Red Sox and Angels mixed it up on Monday in Pinto action (7-8) of

the Newport Harbor Baseball Association and there was plenty of

action.

Austin Smith had a home run and a triple to lead the Red Sox.

Martin Najera Jr. added two doubles and a single and Quinci Holgate

had a big day with three hits.

Timothy McGetrick and Spencer Buchanan also hit the ball well with

three hits, and Bryan Shollin, Robert Alexander, Estevan Muniz, Duke

Morales all contributed.

* Also on Monday, the Blue Jays and Rangers collided with major

accomplishments.

The Blue Jays’ Shawn Vetrovec hit a home run and caught two fly

balls for outs. Remington Weiss and Chris Dinatale also hit home

runs.
