TUESDAY * Flora Street: A $300 palm...

TUESDAY

* Flora Street: A $300 palm tree was reported stolen in the 400

block at 11:53 a.m.

MONDAY

* Saint Anns Drive: Police responded to a victim’s claim that

someone had vandalized his car, writing “No parking here” in

permanent marker on the glass in the 200 block.

* Cress Street: Police arrested a 24-year-old on suspicion of

assault and battery on a 52-year-old. The victim suffered broken ribs

and bruises over his left eye as a result of the beating.

* Kendall Drive: A man walking his dog reported that he and the

dog were attacked, but not bitten Sunday by three dogs that had just

been released from a nearby vehicle. He said the same dogs attacked

and bit him in November 1999.

SUNDAY

* Cozumel Court: A man said someone threw a live firecracker onto

his patio in the 200 block at 7:42 p.m. that caused no damage or

fire. The victim said he considered it a hate crime.

* Diamond Street: A fallen 65-foot eucalyptus tree blocking the

road was reported at 9:45 p.m.

APRIL 4

* Sunset Avenue: A 33-year-old man who had been reported missing

turned up at 11:30 a.m. He said he just “needed a break.”

* North Coast Highway: A male reported that while he was in his

car in the Pavilion’s parking lot at 11:01 p.m., a man punched one of

his windows, shattering it. A woman called police later and said she

had been with a group of intoxicated people, and one of them had

broken the window. She said they were willing to pay for the damages.
