Interior designer is leader in field

With more than 26 years of experience, Mark R. Ochoa -- interior

designer and owner of Abode Fine Furnishings in Newport Beach -- is

viewed by the industry and his clients as a leader in the fields of

design and fine art.

The California native understands the sophistication and style

needed to create the perfect “California” home.

Many of Ochoa’s clients are fine art collectors, compelling design

choices to fit the style of the home with their art.

“Putting together a style for my clients can be done in any number

of ways. The most important component to making it work is the

transition -- a color, a select piece of furniture -- as long as

there is an element that ties it all together, you can make the

transition from contemporary to traditional to Asian to whatever best

defines the personal style of my client and their home,” Ochoa said.

Ochoa has worked on projects from San Diego to Santa Barbara and

was featured in the book “The Perfect Home.”

“My biggest success is celebrating the second anniversary of my

new store --Abode,” Ochoa said. “Newport Beach has been extremely

supportive and has graciously welcomed me to the community.”

Abode Fine Furnishings carries a mix of traditional and ethnic

pieces with lines like Harden, Taylor King, Frederick Cooper,

Heckman, Southwood and Bernini. The store also showcases a variety of

paintings and prints.
