store offers variety, with 400 vendors to choose from. A circular

path throughout the store leads to dinnerware, garden-ware, linens,

silk flowers, glassware, kitchenware and pottery departments. Italian

and French imports, and traditional Spode china are some of the items

Megusta! is a mix of home accessories that owner Kim Ward is drawn

to. Ward favors reproductions and antique furniture from China; Asian

prints; trays and plates; Pashmina shawls; vintage kimonos; Thai silk

wraps and cushion covers. Exclusives in town are its colorful

hand-blown martini glasses from the Czech Republic and “Jewels”

Toes on the Nose, a Costa Mesa-based surf company inspired by the

art of longboarding, has its flagship store here. It sells men’s,

women’s, children’s apparel, surfboards, Rainbow skateboards,

Hawaiian-style bedding and accessories. A new line of women’s

swimsuits done in mostly prints is making a big splash. The signature

one-off original hand-shaped boards with custom fabrics inlay are

popular, as well as its woven shirts designed by Shag, a local

artist. Ask about their custom Aloha shirts that can be designed for

company gifts, golf tournaments, wedding parties and

tradeshows.Surfers and snowboarders practice balance training with

Hobie Surf specializes in surf lifestyle accessories. It’s one of

Laguna’s most visited surf shops, carrying everything from home decor

to custom surfboards. There’s hula theme bedding, Hawaiian quilts,

Tiki Farm ceramic vases, cookie jars and cocktail glasses. It even

carries high-end Bamboo furniture from Palacek. Custom surfboards are

its specialty, and it has apparel for the entire family. Popular surf

brands are carried here, and it carries boutique brands from Lucky,

Michael, and P.J. Salvage. Bargains shoppers wait for the biggest

sale of the year, the third weekend in August, and a Patriot Day sale
