* BASEBALL: Orange Coast College sophomore pitcher Jimmy Treece

pitched, arguably, the best game of his season Saturday. But, thanks

to a pair of unearned runs, had only a 2-0 Orange Empire Conference

baseball loss to Fullerton to show for it.

Treece yielded just five hits and two walks in his first

complete-game, but two OCC errors led to the game’s only runs in the

fifth.

Adding to the frustration for OCC (18-19-1, 7-14 in conference)

was its eight runners left on base, including two in the first and

two in the eighth.

Freshmen Ben Hanna and Jeff Piaskowski each had hits for OCC.
