* Bernard Street and Harbor Boulevard: A 35-year-old man was

arrested on suspicion of defrauding an inn keeper near the

intersection at 6 p.m. Monday.

* Baker Street: An assault was reported in the 600 block at 8:53

a.m. Monday.

* Bay Street: Identity theft was reported in the 300 block at 2:53

p.m. Monday.

* Las Arenas Way: An auto theft was reported in the 1200 block at

9:23 a.m. Monday.

* MacArthur Boulevard: A commercial burglary was reported in the

1500 block at 8:28 a.m. Monday.

* Newport Boulevard: A 46-year-old man was arrested on suspicion

of possessing and transporting a controlled substance, as well as

resisting an officer in the 2500 block at 8:24 p.m. Monday.

* Newport Boulevard: An auto theft was reported in the 2600 block

at 11:06 a.m. Monday.

NEWPORT BEACH

* East Promontory Drive: Vandalism was reported in the 400 block

at 4:08 p.m. Tuesday.

* Irvine Avenue: Loose livestock was reported in the 600 block at

3:13 p.m. Tuesday, but police reported the livestock was gone once

they arrived.

* Newport Coast Drive and San Joaquin Hills Road: Reckless driving

was reported at 4:16 p.m. Tuesday.

* Via Undine: A driveway was reported blocked by a car in the 100

block at 9:38 a.m. Tuesday, but police were able to convince the

car’s owner to remove it.
