AYSO Region 55 sign-up session on Saturday

AYSO Region 55 will hold its second of three sign-up sessions for

the 2003 fall season Saturday at Mesa View Middle School.

The league is open to all girls’ ages 4 1/2 to 18 who live within

the region’s boundaries. Sign-ups will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Parent’s should bring a child’s proof of age to registration. The

cost is $85 per player and the region requires no additional

fund-raising fee.

The regions’ third and final sign-up session will be held June 7

at a cost of $95 per player.

Football Camp to be held at Edison High School

For the second consecutive year, Huntington Beach will be the site

for an instructional fundamental football camp.

The camp will be held July 18 and 19 at Edison High and is open

for all youth ages 7 to 15. Although the camp is run in conjunction

with Huntington Beach Pop Warner, it is open to all area youth

organizations such as Jr. All-American Football.

All coaches involved with the camp are former NFL players or

college coaches, said Rodney Gatlin, camp spokesman.

Running mechanics, stations, position instruction, seven-on-seven

situations and scrimmages are included in the registration fee of

$125. The cost also includes a camp T-shirt and lunch.

The camp will be run each day from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
