On Sunday, the Rev. Kathy Sizer will give the sermon for the 9

a.m. and 11 a.m. services.

Sunday school is offered during the 9 a.m. service for second to

fifth graders, nursery and toddler care. Sunday school is offered

during the 11 a.m. service for second to third graders, nursery and

toddler care.

Unitarian

services

On Sunday, the Rev. James E. Grant will follow the lead of the

congregation: His sermon will answer questions and suggestions

previously submitted by the audience.

On May 18 the reverend will discuss “Some Ideas for a Second Time

Around.” He will talk about what he’s learned during his 44 years in

the ministry.

The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship has services at 10:30 a.m.

at 429 Cypress Drive.

On May 25 the sermon title is “To Kiss the Joy” and will be given

by the Rev. James E. Grant.

Unitarian auction party to be held

The Laguna Beach Unitarian Universalists will stage its annual

services auction party.

Items to bid on range from a private Cessna 182 airplane ride to a

full week’s vacation for four in a spacious condo at nearly any

resort area in the world.

Car detailing, rose consultations from an expert, four hours of

handyman service or a four-hour sail on a 30-foot yacht are also

among the 60 items under the auctioneer’s gavel.

This is the group’s biggest fund-raiser of the year.

The auction starts at 6:30 with bidding to start at 7 p.m.

Saturday at the Fellowship, 429 Cypress Drive. Wine, soft drinks and

snacks are available to bidders.
