White Sox double up on Dodgers

Bradley Hansen delivered two hits and scored two runs and the White

Sox picked up a Majors Division victory at Ocean View Little League

by doubling up on the Dodgers, 4-2.

Jimmy Miller was another White Sox player to finish with two hits

and teammate Chris Glenn, Nick Refice and Jordin Condrey all had key

singles.

Jordan Singh and Miller combined pitching and one-hit the Dodgers.

The duo had struck out seven overall.

Nick Gialenes had the lone Dodger hit and scored both runs.

In other games:

Pirates 4, A’s 2

The Pirates came to life in the fifth inning and went on to post a

come-from-behind victory.

Hitless entering the fifth inning, Nick Mazzone began the frame

with a double and Tim Higgins and Richard Levinson produced singles.

In the sixth, Zack Michael had a lead-off double and scored the

winning run on Rick Marin’s single.

Marin later scored an insurance run on Mazzone’s sacrifice fly.

Mazzone and Higgins allowed the A’s just four hits while striking

out 12.

Diamondbacks 4, Angels 1

Barry Luke, Trevor Carberry and Tanner Phillips struck out nine

and two-hit the Angels to lead the Diamondbacks.

Phillips, Matt Reza, Scott Martin, Ben Hunt and Logan Kells all

had key hits for the D-backs.

The Angels’ got hits from Jullien Herrera and Cody Johnson and

Eric Frempter scored the only Angels run.

A’s 6, White Sox 2

Race Parmenter homered and Trevor Springman and Nick Miller each

doubled to lead the A’s on offense.

Bennett Allen and Parmenter shared the mound and two-hit the White

Sox while striking out 11.

Jeremy Jennings and Arturo Duarte each singled for the White Sox.

Pirates 10, Angels 5

Sam Hunt, Nick Mazzone and Tim Higgins each had two hits as the

Pirates overcame a five-run deficit to down the Angels.

Brian Schwartz and Alex Talbert added to the attack with a triple

and double, respectively.

Higgins pitched in relief and struck out nine of the 10 batters he

faced in three innings.

Jake Augeri doubled and tripled for the Halos and John Olive

tripled.

Diamondbacks 5, Dodgers 1

Tanner Phillips and Barry Luke combined to strike out 12 and limit

the Dodgers to two hits for the D-backs.

Luke also led his team on offense with a pair of hits.

Nick Gialenes doubled and scored the only Dodger run and Connor

Baggett singled.

In Ocean View Little League Majors play:

Yankees 5, Cardinals 2

Calvin Primich singled, doubled and stole three bases as the

division-leading Yankees won the 10th game of the season.

Ben Alberts and Matt Deaner each had RBI hits.

Yankees 5, Angels 0

Slater Davies and Michael Nakamura teamed on the mound and each

had five strikeouts as the Yankees recorded their fifth shutout

victory of the season.

Davies also had a strong offensive game with two hits, Kory Kovac

had an RBI single, Nakamura singled and Deondre Moss hit a two-RBI

triple.
