Dodgers down Cardinals

Brandon Visnoski and Chance Ross combined pitching talents to

strikeout 13 and the Dodgers offense provided the pair with plenty of

runs in an 8-1 victory over the Cardinals in a Seaview Little League

Majors Division game.

Visnoski threw the first four innings and Ross closed out the

six-inning contest.

The duo allowed the Cardinals just two hits, singles by Josh

Amoral and Lance Lavage.

Visnoski and Ross also backed their own cause on offense as

Visnoski doubled and scored two runs and Ross singled and scored

once.

The remainder of the Dodgers’ offense saw Josh Lesinski single and

score twice, Jordon Luevano singled, Zack Campbell scored twice and

Dylan Ybarra scored one run.

Warren Bleile scored the Cardinals’ lone run.

In other Majors Division action:

Ocean View Little League

Yankees 3, Twins 0

Deondre Moss hit a two-run double in the third inning to break a

scoreless tie and the Yankees went on to post their sixth shutout

victory of the season.

Ben Albert’s bases loaded, RBI single in the fourth padded the

Yankees’ lead to 3-0.

Kyle Breedlove singled twice, Jesse Mestas and Calvin Primich each

singled and Primich and Garrett Coulson each had a bunt single for

the Yankees.

Slater Davies struck out eight and notched the pitching win.

Yankees 7, Dodgers 1

Michael Nakamura struck out 12 as the Yankees maintained their

lead in the division standings.

Nakamura and Kyle Breedlove each had an RBI single, Deondre Moss

doubled and Slater Davies singled and stole home.

A’s 5, Cardinals 1

Matt McWilliams threw a complete game three hitter for the A’s.

David Swartz had a two-run sacrifice fly and Mile Beran and Zach

Graves had hits for the A’s.

Tommy Diecidue doubled twice and Cole Bonanni doubled for the

Cardinals.

A’s 6, Giants 5

The A’s overcame a 5-1 deficit to post the win.

Zach Graves hit the game-winning RBI single, Matt McWilliams and

Marc Saar each had RBI walks and Mile Beran had an RBI single in the

decisive sixth inning.

Sean Guite singled twice and doubled to power the A’s.

Blane Wells had three hits and Tyler Geery delivered four, strong

innings of pitching for the Giants.

Angels 7, A’s 2

Sean Rubino had three hits and David Van Doornam got the pitching

win for the Angels.

Sean Guite homered and hit two doubles and Matt McWilliams singled

three times for the A’s.

At Huntington Valley Little League

A’s 6, Diamondbacks 2

Race Parmenter doubled twice and picked up two RBIs to lead the

A’s seven-hit attack.

Singles were produced by Bennett Allen, Trevor Springman, Weston

Stephens, Nick Miller and Jon Miller.

Miller and Parmenter combined to four-hit the D-backs and struck

out seven.

The D-backs’ hits came from the bats of Matt Reza, Trevor

Barberry, Scott Martin and Rob Toth.

Angels 5, Dodgers 3

Trailing by two runs, the Angels scored four runs in the sixth

inning to stun the Dodgers.

Jullien Herrera had the inning’s big hit which scored both the

tying and go-ahead run.

Jake Gordon went two for two with two runs scored, Garrett Keadle

doubled among two hits and Brock Butlett and Jake Machado each

singled.

Christian Slaton, Mike Wilson and Reed Thomas all singled for the

Dodgers.

Pirates 14, White Sox 8

The Pirates pounded out 10 hits to produce 14 runs led by Richard

Levinson’s big game which included four hits including a leadoff home

run and two doubles.

Brian Schwartz doubled with two RBI, Ryan Hakes singled twice and

scored two runs, Alex Talbert singled twice, Nick Mazzone tripled and

Huntington Bardesty and Zack Michael each singled for the Pirates.

Nick Refice had an RBI-triple and Jimmy Miller, Jeremy Jennings,

Jordan Condrey and Nic Monaco each singled for the White Sox.

Pirates 3, Diamondbacks 2

Pitching dominated this game which went seven innings.

Pirates starter Tim Higgins threw the first six innings and struck

out 14, allowing just one unearned run. Higgins’ effort was matched

by D-backs starter Barry Luke who also allowed just one unearned run.

Higgins also figured in the winning run as he doubled and later

scored in the seventh.

Ricky Marin had an RBI double and Nick Mazzone, Alex Talbert and

Dallas Scott all singled for the Pirates.

A’s 5, Dodgers 4

Trevor Springman hit two home runs and scored three runs as a the

A’s came from behind to upend the Dodgers.

The A’s also received singles by Bennett Allen, Austin Stevens,

Jake Guzman, James Miller and Jonathon McBeth.

Houston Hill singled and scored twice during a Dodgers attack that

saw Connor Baggett and Stuart Chenier each double and Christian

Slaton and Reed Thomas both single.

Angels 15, White Sox 2

John Olive belted two home runs to power the Angels’ 14-hit

attack.

Jullien Herrera singled three times and scored four runs, Jake

Augeri had three hits, Jake Gordon and Brock Butlett each singled

twice and Dillon Petrarca and Nick Woldridge each singled for the

Halos.

Jermey Jennings and Jordan Condrey singled for the White Sox.
