Laguna College of Art and Design is having its Graduating Senior

Exhibit at the college through May 27 at 2222 Laguna Canyon Road.

FAMILY SING ALONG

Every fourth Friday of the month from 6 to 9 p.m. No Square

Theatre will have a family sing along with the renowned Terry Alaric

on piano. Show tunes and standards are encouraged for live piano

accompaniment. Participants can bring their own sheet music or choose

A TASTE OF WINE

Wine tasting takes place every Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. at Len’s

SATURDAY

HUNKS IN TRUNKS

The second annual “Hunks in Trunks,” Male Model Fashion Show will

return to the runway today at Laguna Art Museum. It’s an evening

filled with fashion, fabulous food, art, auction items with film

star, singer and comedian Judy Tenuta the mistress of ceremonies.

Special assistant to the Governor Eric Bauman will be the keynote

speaker. General admission is $100 per person and major donation is

$500 and includes a private hosted reception, mingling models and

celebrity guests, dinner buffet and reserved seating in front of

stage. All the proceeds go to benefit Laguna Shanti AIDS resource

LATIN JAZZ AND DANCING

Romeo Cucina will feature Latin jazz and dancing with Ivan

The Laguna Craft Guild will be have an arts and crafts show of

original arts and crafts created by local artists. The show is at

The Laguna Century Exchange club will present its annual Memorial

Day Pancake Breakfast form 7 to 11 a.m. in Heisler Park at Cliff

LAGUNA COMMUNITY CONCERT BAND

Enjoy the Laguna Community Concert Band at the Main Beach

Cobblestones for a Memorial Day Musical Celebration, honoring

veterans with patriotic music, marches, Armed Service Medley and

‘WHITENESS’ AT LAM

The new exhibit “Whiteness, A Wayward Construction” at the Laguna

Art Museum is a group exhibition of 28 individual artists and

collaborative teams working in various media, who explore

representations of whiteness. The underlying assumption of the

exhibit is that everyone in the United States is constructed in the

political imagination as a racial subject. The exhibit is curated by

LEONARD KAPLAN EXHIBIT

“Waking Dreams: The Art of Leonard Kaplan,” will run through July

OUR TOWN IN

THE EARLY 1900s

“Greetings from Laguna Beach: Our Town in the Early 1900s” just

opened at the Laguna Art Museum and will feature paintings,

photographs and memorabilia that chronicle life in Laguna Beach circa

1900 to 1930. The exhibit includes works by William Wendt, Joseph

Kleitsch, Clarence Hinkle, Edgar Payne and Anna Hills. In 1910,

Laguna’s population was around 300 and many of its residents were

writers, artists and musicians -- much like today. Featuring many of

Laguna Beach’s landmarks, past and present, it’s a vivid history of

Laguna Beach. Laguna Art Museum is at 307 Cliff Drive. Information:

The Laguna Plein Air Painters will hold an artist members

JUNE 1

LAGUNA BEACH LIVE!

The season finale of Laguna Beach Live! is 3 to 4:30 p.m. June 1

at Laguna College of Art & Design 2222 Laguna Canyon Road. The

concert will feature the Brass Connection, a brass quintet led by

Alfred Lang will be performing music from Bach to Fats Waller. The

concert will be on the lawn outside, with guests requested to bring

lawn chairs. The concert is free and donations are appreciated.
