Berge-Hussey

Mr. and Mrs. J. Eric Berge of Irvine announce the engagement of

their daughter, Erica Deanne Berge of Corona del Mar, to Ryan Thomas

Hussey of Corona del Mar.

The bride-elect graduated from University High School and Chapman

University. She also received a degree in merchandise marketing from

the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising.

The future bridegroom, son of Mrs. Kathy Sowell of Encinitas,

graduated from Corona del Mar High and Cal State Long Beach.

A Nov. 8 wedding is planned at Laguna Presbyterian Church with a

reception at the Ritz Carlton.

Simmons-Hoppe

Kathryn Simmons of Newport Beach and Brooks Hoppe of Corona del

Mar exchanged wedding vows at Mount of Olives Lutheran Church in

Mission Viejo on March 22.

The bride, daughter of Jean and Michael Simmons of Laguna Hills,

wore a ivory duchess silk satin strapless gown by Vera Wang. Her maid

of honor was Jennifer Miller, and her bridesmaids were Julie Flynn,

Alexandra Himy, Lindsey Masterson, Kristen Redfern, Heather Simmons

and Julie Van Ryne.

The groom is the son of Carol and Rich Hoppe of Corona del Mar.

His best man was Blair Hoppe, and his groomsmen were Rob Alshuler,

John Hoppe, Patrick Redfern, Jeremy Siegel, John Simmons and Chris

Solsby.

After the ceremony was a reception of 200 guests at the Ritz

Carlton in Laguna Niguel.

The couple plan to live in Newport Beach after a wedding trip to

Tahiti.
