Ahhh, the Daily Pilot Cup. The mention of the Pilot Cup brings

flashbacks of the Pilot’s photographers out shooting multiple games

that were happening at the same time, and trying to keep a laundry

list of school names matched with a Crayola 64-pack myriad of T-shirt

colors.

But in the blur of it all, there are some truly talented kids and

very exciting soccer games. Every year I am amazed at the skills of

the kids, and their ability to make plays, plus the enthusiasm these

kids exhibit only leads to great photos for us.

That is how it happened on the final day of the Pilot Cup for

photographer Kent Treptow. He was kept busy running from one field to

the next when this moment happened as Anderson Elementary players

celebrated their win; giving Kent a great shot.
