The Newport-Mesa Unified School District offers menu choices each day

at elementary schools. Students may choose a vegetarian entree. The

selection may include a salad, sandwich or hot entree. School lunches

are $2 each. Here’s what’s being served this week:

TODAY

Munchable Lunch Salad with fruit yogurt corn dogs or veggie corn

dogs, potato smiles, fruit turnover, choice of milk

WEDNESDAY

Oriental chicken salad with fresh whole-grain roll or cheese

burger, lettuce and pickles, banana, choice of milk

THURSDAY

Munchable Lunch Salad or two beef or veggie soft tacos, lettuce,

salsa and cheese, raisins, fresh baked cookie, choice of milk

FRIDAY

*Munchable Lunch Salad or chicken nuggets with dipping sauce,

jicama sticks with ranch dip, fruit juice bar, choice of milk

MONDAY

Munchable Lunch Salad or bean and cheese burrito, seasoned corn,

choice of fruit, choice of milk

The Munchable Lunch Salad contains tossed greens, cherry tomatoes,

crackers and protein sources such as cheese, sunflower seeds, fruit

yogurt and honey-roasted peanuts (*Peanut butter on selected days).
