Cox plans for El Toro don’t work

With his vigorous anti-El Toro Airport stance, Rep. Chris Cox marches

along with south Orange Countians, protecting their so-called

“quality of life.”

Who can blame him? That’s where the votes are.

With this same opposition to El Toro Airport, however, he appears

to be continually stabbing Newport Beach residents and their “quality

of life” in the back. He knows that air transportation in 10 years

will be at maximum capacity in Southern California. He knows full

well that John Wayne Airport will eventually be ripe for expansion.

He knows this.

So, what is Cox’s alternative plan to fly people in an out of the

area without an airport at El Toro? OK, we’ve heard the “tunnel

through the mountains” theory, but let’s get real.

Does Cox have a vision and a workable solution to the future air

travel crunch in Orange County, Southern California and the nation?

If so, I would be interested to hear it.
