‘THE SECRET ORDER’

Laguna Playhouse is showing the West Coast premier of Bob Clyman’s

“The Secret Order.” It’s a play about what happens when an obscure

cancer researcher achieves a breakthrough and is whisked into the

THE EARLY 1900s

“Greetings from Laguna Beach: Our Town in the Early 1900s” just

opened at the Laguna Art Museum and will feature paintings,

photographs and memorabilia that chronicle life in Laguna Beach circa

1900 to 1930. The exhibit includes works by William Wendt, Joseph

Kleitsch, Clarence Hinkle, Edgar Payne and Anna Hills. In 1910,

Laguna’s population was around 300 and many of its residents were

writers, artists and musicians -- much like today. Featuring many of

Laguna Beach’s landmarks, past and present, it’s a vivid history of

The Art-A-Fair Festival will run June 27 through Aug. 31. It’s at

777 Laguna Canyon Road. Season pass for adults is $5, children under

a.m. to 10 p.m. Visitors are offered the opportunity to view and

The Sawdust Art Festival will be June 27 through Aug. 31 opens

June 27. The festival will have more than 195 local artists

displaying and selling their original items in a handcrafted village

nestled in an eucalyptus grove. Live entertainment. Art workshops and

“Menage-a-trois,” an exhibition featuring an intimate union of three
