Lilly was rescued from an animal shelter’s death row for the first
time as an unborn kitten in her mother’s belly. Now she needs to be
saved again.
She will need a specialist and a $2,500 surgery to save her from
her latest problem -- her liver is crowding her lung cavity.
“At this time, we are not capable of paying for a surgery of this
kind,” said DiAnna Pfaff-Martin, founder of the Newport Beach-based
Community Animal Network. “It is money we don’t have.”
During Christmas, the Network has received overwhelming support as
many people turn their attention to helping others, but during the
summer the focus is more on having fun, Pfaff-Martin said.
“To save Lilly, we need Christmas in the summer,” she said.
“Please, if everyone reading this would just send at least $25 to the
Community Animal Network with attention to ‘Save Lilly this Summer’
we can commit her to surgery.”
