Surf City Run starts Fourth festivities

A full day of Fourth of July festivities will begin Friday with

the Surf City Run 5K at 7 a.m.

A Residents Run is the first of four races schedule for the day.

Following the Residents Run a 7 a.m. is the Open 5K at 8 a.m. The

5K Stroller Run is scheduled for an 8:30 a.m. start and the 9 a.m.

Kids Mile and Half-Mile Run concludes the competition.

All races will start and finish at Huntington Beach High.

Late registration will be taken beginning at 6 a.m. Friday at the

corner of 17th and Main streets by the high school.

Awards will be presented to the overall male and female winner and

the top three finishers in each age group in both the Residents Run

and Open 5K.
